   If you don’t like living on a floor with 15-30 other people, I wouldn’t choose this dorm

   Pros

   • Kitchenette on each floor
   • Pretty close to most location on campus

   Cons

   • Got very hot with no ventilation
   • During second semester trash was often not taken out and bathrooms weren’t cleaned

   • The kitchen and commons area was nice.

   Cons

   • The kitchen was always dirty
   • The bathrooms were dirty
   • People were very loud

   AC is necessary

   Pros

   • Close to other student dorms/dining hall

   • Amenities
   • no AC
   • small communal bathrooms
   • only a few laundry machines

   Best Freshman Dorm By Far!

   I lived in Taplin for two years (once as a freshman and the other as an RA). Of all the places I have lived on-campus, Taplin was by far my favorite. There was plenty of space in the rooms and even more so in the corner rooms. I would highly recommend staying here if you can.

   • Rooms are very large in comparison to other freshman halls
   • Common spaces and study rooms

   Cons

   • Shower water was cold more often than not
   • Shower flooded often
